The Faroe Islands are a self-governing country under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark, with a population of around 50,000 people.
I’m going to take a wild guess and say that most people wouldn’t be able to tell you where the Faroe Islands is on the map (which is approximately halfway between Norway and Iceland, directly above the UK). That may change with this new video from Visit Faroe Islands, which may put the islands on the map for many people for the first time.
