Just when I thought I’d seen the craziest stunts on the ferries of the Philippines, I came across this trending video of what I reckon happened in Brazil.
Describing this feat as dangerous would be an understatement. It clearly made everyone hold their breath and scream in fear as they watched in anticipation the driver struggling to maneuver the vehicle onto the ship via thin and seemingly unreliable planks. Where on Earth were the ramps that would have done a better job?
Spectators went from nervously screaming as the truck comes close to landing on the surface that’s underneath the waters below it, to applauding in delight for the success of hauling the truck into the ship in one piece.
But seriously, this stunt is outright ridiculous! Who in his right mind would risk having his truck devoured by the sea in a faint attempt to woo a crowd? I’ve seen crazy Arab drivers’ life-threatening car stunts and read about the crowded trains of India (boy, the photos are ridiculous!), but this makes, hands down, the worst reference of trust, if you ask me.
Although the footage has received different kinds of criticism, it is the best way to put planking back in the radar.
