The recent earthquake that struck Nepal must have cost the country its tourism, but it’s good to find something that reminds us of what made it one of the favorite tourist spots in Asia.
Nepal is home to the Himalayas, believed to be approximately 70 million years old. It also boasts of housing the world’s 14 highest mountains, Mt. Everest being the most popular. The deepest gorge on Earth, Kaligandaki, is also in Nepal, along with 7 World Heritage Cultural sites in Kathmandu alone.
In this video by James Baker, however, we see more of Nepal than the spots it is famous for. We see the people and their way of living. Amid the sunset, the wonders that engulf the country, Baker shows Nepal in a more sensitive reality that makes Nepal even more captivating.
It shouldn’t be a surprise that this incredible video was honored to become a Vimeo Staff Pick. James Baker has effortlessly let us experience Nepal in a unique perspective, while reminding us of the beauty this place has to offer. I can’t wait to feel the pleasure of experiencing Nepal.
